Privacy policy for Giuliani APP.

This policy explains what data the Giuliani APP application (com.ghapp.ghapp_mobile) processes, what it is used for, who it is shared with and how to request its deletion. It covers the mobile application only, not this website.

Giuliani APP is a professional tool. It is used by people working in compound feed mills to consult and record production information. It is not aimed at the general public or at minors.

2. What data is collected

Account data. An account is required to enter the application. Sign-up and sign-in are handled by Firebase Authentication, from Google. Depending on the method chosen, the following are processed:

  • Email address and password, when signing up directly. The password is held by Firebase and is never visible to us.
  • Email address and name, when signing in with Google or Apple.
  • The identifier assigned by the sign-in provider, used to recognise the same account on each visit.

Plant operating data. The application displays and records industrial information: production, batches, formulations, stock, weighings, quality checks, energy consumption and maintenance. This is information about the plant, not about people.

Name of the person responsible for a task. When recording a maintenance task, whoever enters it may type in the name of the person responsible. That name is personal data and stays attached to the task. It is the only personal data the application receives typed in by a user.

Minimum technical data. On sign-in, the server issues an access token that the application stores on the phone itself so the password is not requested on every screen. That token is deleted from the phone on sign-out.

3. What is NOT collected

The application does not access or collect:

  • Device location.
  • Contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone.
  • Advertising identifiers or browsing history.

There is also no advertising inside the application, no third-party analytics tools and no profiling of user behaviour.

4. What the data is used for

  • To identify whoever signs in and give them access only to the information that concerns them.
  • To display and record the operation of the plant, which is what the application is for.
  • To keep the service running: fixing faults, backing up information and protecting accounts against unauthorised access.

The data is not used for any other purpose. In particular, it is not sold, not passed to third parties for commercial purposes and not used for advertising.

5. Who the data is shared with

No data is shared with third parties, apart from the two providers the application needs in order to work:

  • Google Firebase Authentication — handles sign-up and sign-in. It processes the email address, the name and the password.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts the server and the database where the application information is stored.

Data will also be handed over when required by a competent authority or by a legal obligation.

6. Where data is stored and international transfer

The Amazon Web Services and Google Firebase servers may be located outside the Argentine Republic, including in the United States. By using the application, information is transferred to and stored on those servers.

Both providers offer contractual data protection terms and internationally recognised security certifications.

7. How long data is kept

  • Account data is kept for as long as the account is active.
  • Plant operating data is kept for the duration of the commercial relationship with the company that contracted the service, because it is that company's production record.
  • The access token stored on the phone is deleted on sign-out or when the application is uninstalled.

8. How to request deletion of the account and the data

To request deletion of the account and the personal data attached to it, write to contacto@giulianihermanos.com from the email address the account was registered with, using the subject line "Eliminación de cuenta - Giuliani APP".

The request is answered within ten working days and the deletion is completed within thirty calendar days.

The sign-in account and the personal data attached to it are deleted. The plant operating records belong to the company that contracted the service and are not deleted along with an individual account: their removal has to be requested by that company.

9. Rights over the data

Anyone may request access to, correction of, updating of or deletion of their personal data by writing to contacto@giulianihermanos.com.

In the Argentine Republic the supervisory authority is the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (Agency for Access to Public Information), which handles complaints from anyone who considers their rights to have been infringed.

10. Security

Communication between the application and the server is encrypted. Access to the information is restricted to authorised accounts and passwords are held by the authentication provider, not by the application.

No system is infallible. Should an incident affecting personal data occur, the people concerned and the supervisory authority will be informed where applicable.

11. Minors

The application is for professional use and is not aimed at anyone under eighteen. Data on minors is not knowingly collected.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published at this same address and the review date shown above is updated. Substantive changes are also announced inside the application.
